Joshua Earthling used to attend double feature movies, but only during intermission, so he could watch the oil and water "psychedelic trip show" his local drive-in would show in between films. Most of his early work involves overhead projectors and food coloring. "I like to make photographs where it's hard to tell what's going on," he says. He took the title of this picture from a rack of spandex club clothes for full figured women.
