Krommandant's wife would never give him a spoon with his coffee. This is documented in their divorce proceedings of 1993. Krommandant painted "Coffee WITH A SPOON" on their kitchen countertop, and sawed the painting off. This piece actually occurs 2 years after the artist's first so-called revenge painting that involved Krommandant using a chainsaw on a gallery owner's front door. "Here's your FUCKING DOORKNOB," sold for $65,000. This put Krommendant on the map as an artist to be wary of.
