MY BILLBURG
by ERIN KELLEY

Ever been to Billburg? Well, here's the very real discussions that you will find happening in that mixed-up hipsterhood, culled from billburg.com.

Yo, I'm different than you
Posted by Hotan

Yo, I was just at Enids and I drank a lot and thought it would be fun to critique shoes/clothes/etc. and I thought to myself "Why am I like this" and the reason is: I'm different than other people that are different. How am I different? I'm better, and certainly more authentic, and pretty soon I'll be poor too. I made some art and somebody bought it and then someone looked at it in Spain so there's my platform for hurting their feelings. Hooray. I love the internet.

Amen, brother. You sound just like cussinklaus, only a little smarter.

anti, someone posessed of your withering insight and intellect might be able to address my critiques of bourgeois fashion mongoloids no? Refute someone's points before insulting their intellect. able to?

"I criticize idiotic fashion trends"
"My critiques of bourgeois fashion mongoloids"

No, you are the intellectual and spiritual leader of this forum. I print your posts and hand them out on street corners. Heil Cussinklaus!

Why am I a Nazi? Because I criticize idiotic fashion trends and conformity? Look to the Real Estate and finance sectors for the real Nazis. I want an end to extortion and exploitation, do you?

No, it seems to me that you just want to be the extortionist and exploiter yourself.

But I know where this is going, have been here with you before, and it's boring. Toss me a few childish insults and refute your own damn posts. I'm leaving.

I challenge this, or any hysterical brainwashed bourgeois (not an insult, an observation) to prove this statement about me:

"No, it seems to me that you just want to be the extortionist and exploiter yourself."
to be continued...

Meanwhile, on another page, the site's writers deconstruct a hair salon....

"The finer shades of glamour are often absent from today's cool unisex hair salons. Predictable dance music, $100 aromatherapy cuts, and stylists who act like rock stars tire and confuse me. Not that these cut-o-ramas aren't exciting; multi-media excites, especially when you can pay and be part of the show and probably see a lot of skin..."

FINALLY!!!! Someone who is normal on this website. Bro, most of the time when you go out in Williamsburg its a bunch of ugly nerd-rockin hipster girls with their male counterparts. Every bar is jammed full with alterna-hipsters. Sounds depressing right? Well there is one place where there are some hot girls, called Stingers, but lately thats been mostly dudes. Tell you the truth, its rare to go out in the burg and pick up a chick, but once in a blue moon it happens. However, your best shot is Stingers on Grand St.

And finally, a summation of our stay in Billburg, courtesy of this misguided post:

EVERYONE WHO LIVES IN WILLIAMSBURG ARE A BUNCH OF FUCKIN LOSERS. YOU ARTISTS ARE SO POOR THAT YOU CANT AFFORD TO LIVE IN MANHATTAN AND NO ONE WANTS YOU THERE ANYWAYS. I COULD PERSONALLY KICK THE SHIT OUT OF ALL OF YOU AT THE SAME TIME. EVERYTIME I WALK DOWN BEDFORD IT MAKES ME SICK BECAUSE OF THE AMOUNT OF GAY ARTISTS WHO WILL END UP ROTTING AWAY WITH NO MONEY BECUASE YOUR ART SUCKS. I HOPE THE RICANS TAKE THE BURG BACK OVER AND BEAT THE SHIT OUT OF EVERY ONE OF YOU. FUCK YOU ALL AND DIE!
